Volume is shown in dB. A lower value means a quieter level. 0 dB is a reference level, not silence. Use Mute to silence the speaker. The large value is the last volume read from the speaker.
Changing the volume can turn the audio back on, even while Mute is active.
The slider prepares a value. Press Apply volume to send it.
Active preset
P1, P2 and P3 recall the listening configurations already stored in your speaker. Switching presets activates the saved sound settings and the input assigned to that preset.
Choose the input connected to your audio source. Auto searches for an input with a signal. Press Apply input to save your choice for the active preset. Only use inputs fitted to your speaker.
While selecting or searching for an input, the speaker may mute the audio. Refresh status to read its current state.

Signal levels
Digital signal levels reported by the speaker, not room loudness.

Power and standby settings

Enter a start-up volume between −96 and +18 dB.
A fixed value sets the level at each start-up. “Use the last listening volume” recalls the level used before switching off.
Choose whether the speaker starts immediately when mains power returns, or waits for a wake-up command.
Automatic standby and wake-up
Signal detection combines automatic standby after silence with wake-up when audio returns. The mains power setting above is separate.
Enter a whole number of minutes from 1 to 180.

Level 1 is the most sensitive, level 4 the least. Keep OFF at or below ON. Digital wake-up uses a fixed detection threshold.

Reading details
Shape the sound with nine bands for each preset.
Choose which preset to read or edit. The playing preset stays the same.

Some speaker values cannot be edited here. Available values are kept unchanged.
Band 1
Use 20–20,000 Hz, −15.9 to +15.9 dB and Q 0.1–20. Frequency accepts two decimal places; gain and Q accept three. Invalid edits keep the last valid curve.
Frequency chooses the area to adjust; Gain boosts or cuts it; Q controls its width. A higher Q makes a bell band narrower. You can also drag a point on the graph.
EQ files and browser copy
Save this preset’s EQ in a named file on your computer. Loading a file replaces the selected preset’s local curve; it does not change the speaker.
To use this EQ on a slave, connect that speaker, read its settings, then save the selected preset.

Frequency response

Relative response only: this is not a calibrated sound-pressure meter. For reference, compare the first measurements against REW.
The speaker’s USB port carries controls, not test audio. Connect the computer’s audio output to an audio input on the speaker. USB speaker control is optional for this measurement.
1Microphone and calibration
Allow microphone access, then choose your UMIK-1. Recordings are processed on this computer and are not uploaded.
Load the file for your microphone’s serial number and the selected orientation. The app cannot verify that they match your physical microphone.

Select the DAC or audio interface connected to your speaker. Measure one speaker at a time.
2Check the level
Start with a low speaker volume. dBFS is the digital test level, not the loudness in the room. Turn off audio enhancements in the computer’s sound settings.

3Measure and compare
Stay quiet and keep the microphone still. A six-second sweep is followed by three seconds to capture the room decay. Sound stops when you leave this page.

The curve includes the room, speaker and audio path. Gaps mark frequencies too close to the background noise. Curves show tonal differences, not absolute loudness differences.
Curves stay in this page until it is reloaded. Export them to keep a copy. Measurement does not change the speaker’s EQ.
